Nigeria’s fast rising rapper Hotyce, is working on an exchange program with American hardcore rapper, Fred Lee Scruggs Jr., better known by his stage name, Fredro Starr. During an InstaLive session, the American rapper said when the coronavirus plague is over, they would get sponsors to send five American rappers to Nigeria from New York, USA.
In turn, five Nigerian rappers would be flown to New York for collaboration.
Fredro alongside his group ‘Onyx,’ rose to limelight in the 90’s after the release of the hit song ‘Slam’. The American rapper made it clear to Hotyce that he was interested in collaborating with Nigerian rappers to share different ideas and cultures.
“There is no music that put cultures together like Hip Hop. Rock N Roll doesn’t do that, country music doesn’t do that, Pop music doesn’t do that, but Hip Hop brings all races all colors…Hip Hop is the world,” Fredro said
Hotyce who recently released an EP “4 No Reason,” bragged there was no rapper in the industry like him. The EP had just four tracks with features from Oladips, Sugar Bana, Frescool and a couple others.
Hotyce has held constructive InstaLive sessions with top shots in the industry, the likes of M.I and, DJ Jimmy Jatt.
The rapper is also scheduled to feature Redman, Hollywood actor Tyrese and, Multi-award winning singer Brandy, in the coming weeks.
