The ministerial list released by President Muhammadu Buhari has been faulted by Alhaji Tanko Yakasai – The Second Republic presidential adviser said the nomination of certain people perceived to be fantastically corrupt made mockery of the president’s anti-corruption war – Yakasai added that since majority of the nominees were already known to the president, his delay in submitting the list is unjustifiable The ministerial list released by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, July 23 has been faulted by Second Republic presidential adviser, Tanko Yakasai. The elder statesman described the list as an affront on the current administration’s anti-corruption war, Vanguard reports.

Legit.ng gathers that Yakasai, while reacting to the list, stated that the delay in naming new ministers was unjustifiable, as many of the nominees were part of the last cabinet. He said: “The new ministerial list submitted by the president to the Senate is representative enough, but the nomination of certain people perceived to be fantastically corrupt made mockery of the president’s war against corruption. “The fact that returnees are many means the policy of the new government will not be much different with that of the outgoing.

“My only observation is that since majority of the nominees are already known to the president, his delay in submitting ministerial nomination is unjustifiable.”

Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that the immediate past governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola, was named with other nominees for the ministerial positions in the list sent to the Senate by President Muhammadu Buhari. The other members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who made the list include former governor of Benue state, George Akume, and former minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi.

Others who made the list include Chris Ngige, Hadi Sirika, Rotimi Amaechi, Festus Keyamo, Uche Ogah, Emeka Nwajuiba and Babatunde Fashola, the immediate past minister of power, works and housing.
